Cruda
Literally means raw or uncooked… but its one of the worst feelings youll have. Yes… with you: The Hangover. Some people are blessed to have only slight headaches, some others will just feel dehydrated. Other unfortunate souls will probably be hugging the toilet and wearing shades all day and finally some others will keep on drinking.
It wasnt until I was here in the US that I realized how much mexicans love and even venerate being hangover. Clamatos, mexican shrimp cocktails, aguachile, micheladas, cheladas, cocktails with tequila, litros… you name it. Mexicans make an event of being hangover, dont get me wrong here in the US they do too. but it seems like its a more “limited” version of it: Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and greasy brunches but I guess its the difference in palates.
